The pineapple cocktail made in the Caribbean

It's the most gourmet cocktail in the Caribbean: the piña colada! Official drink of Puerto Rico.  To the exotic fruits, banana was added to bring the typical velvety touch of this cocktail. But the star of our kit is undoubtedly the fabulous pineapple glass, which will allow you to enjoy your piña colada island style: in a pineapple on your deckchair.

Piña Colada mix: a hymn to pineapple!

Piña colada means filtered pineapple in Spanish, so it is this tropical fruit that is the basis of this fruity cocktail, along with two other local specialties: white rum and coconut cream. According to the versions, this hymn to pineapple would be the creation of a pirate or a Puerto Rican bartender.  To give it its creamy consistency, shake it with crushed ice and add a few drops of lime. Serve in your pineapple glass or in a hurricane glass.

In addition to a great selection including hard-to-find items, the customer service at this establishment is in a category that I did not know still existed. I have ordered from this great store over the internet and with one order there was a question with a quantity I ordered and the staff called me the same day to make sure I had not made a mistake. They also know their products very well and are happy to help. Their selection is very extensive. For those of us in the US, have no worries about things taking a long time to arrive from our helpful knowledgeable neighbors to the North!
