The Punch is an exotic cocktail made from rum and fruit juice.
Its invention dates back to the 16th century when English sailors passing through India mixed tafia (ancestor of rum) with fruits and spices.
They then introduce this recipe to the West Indians who improve it thanks to the diversity of their exotic fruits.
Today, West Indian punch, also called planter, is a very popular cocktail, it is often synonymous with sharing and conviviality. Ideal to share as an aperitif or in the evening with friends or family. A tasty cocktail beautifully crafted by Quai Sud.
